One of our clients asked us if we could help them improve their safety performance within their service division. The client has several hundred technicians who travel from customer site to site performing scheduled equipment preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. The technicians were experiencing accidents and the preventative toolbox safety meetings had become monotonous and routine. The client requested something creative and fun while still driving home important messaging. They suggested computer animation.
A few months later, Unlucky Joe was born. Together, with his partner Steve, they deliver timely and effective safety messages to the technicians. Included in each toolbox message is an incident involving Joe which could have been easily prevented. Computer animation can deliver an important safety alert to all members of a team that possess a computer, tablet or smart phone. The episode can be easily tracked for record keeping and include a reinforcement quiz for testing episode retention by the team member.
